XIII - 2001 Fall - Untitled

Virtue shines brightly in light,
Brighter when fighting sad endless plight.
Flickering when hope loses sight,
Continually enduring fortunes’ constant might.

Virtue remains the life of hope,
Ceaseless turmoil forces life to cope.
Molding character from joyous innocence,
The virtuous’ road dashes the dreams of the past,
Reducing previous innocence into a simple nuisance.
The strong last while the meek becomes lost,
Simple unending happiness halts for the weak,
Never to return until the heart has seeked.
